| List of Ingredients 32 oz Tomatoes, crushed, canned 1 tsp Oil, olive, salad or cooking 1/4 cup Garlic, raw 1 cup Onions, raw Instructions for Preparation Saute Onions in oil until clear Add Garlic (about 5 large cloves cut up in big pieces) for just a couple of minutes. Careful not to burn the Garlic Add Crushed tomatoes( I use whole tomatoes and crush the myself for a chunkier sauce. Let simmer for about an hour, Salt and pepper to taste and you're ready to go. Add a little Hot Sauce for an extra zing.. Serving size is 1/2 cup You can double or triple this recipe according to your needs. This is a great basic sauce to keep on hand that can be used with almost any cuisine by adding a few spices to the dish. |
